Steady As She Rose

So do you remember, when I told you about OPI's Pirates of the Caribbean Collection? Yes, it's pure love! But this color, Steady As She Rose, it's a total must have! I'm not even joking. I'm not sure what it is, but it's life changing. Yes, a nail polish can be life changing. And this one is just that.

If there is any nail polish, that I'd recommend right now, it would be Steady As She Rose. It's perfect for summer. And I think it will make as a nice transitional color, into Fall and Winter. It's such a nice neutral. Something that any skin tone can pull off. Yes, you need to run out and buy this nail polish!

Fly Away Home

I'm definitely what one would call a "reader." I LOVE books! Honestly, in a week, I probably read 10+ books. It's insane. But it's true. Every once in a while, you come across a book that you literally can't put down. And that happened this week.

Jennifer Weiner happens to be one of my favorite authors. I literally stumbled upon on of her books, years ago. And it was instant love. Love at first read. :) She is just an author that has fun with her books. A little risky? Maybe. I'd definitely not share my books with say, my Mom. But I would share them with some friends. You know, that kind of author.

I bought Fly Away Home a while back. And somehow, I hadn't read it. It kind of just got put down on a table, then up on a bookshelf, then I forgot about it. Sad, I know. But it happened. And as I was trying to take a nap earlier this week, I kept seeing this book on the bookshelf. Finally, I got up, and started reading.

Instantly, I was hooked. In a good way. I literally couldn't put the book down. It's a good thing, D was at work. Because I literally sat there and read. The entire house could have fallen down. And I wouldn't have known it! I was so into my book, I failed to notice when my dear boyfriend got home, looked around, and left. Only to return an hour later with takeout. :)

But this is definitely a book that I'd recommend reading. I finished it up in a few hours. The story of this family just sucks you in. The hardships, lessons learned, and growing of individuals. Totally relatable. If you're looking for a book that slightly touches on current affairs, but also pulls at your heartstrings, this one is for you! A perfect "Summer Read."

Urban Decay's 15th Anniversary

Do you see all of these beautiful colors? Yes, I'm in LOVE! First of all, can you believe that Urban Decay has been around for 15 years? I can't! I was a wee one, when they first came out. All of 13 years old. I became an "Urban Decay Addict," during my high school years. Thanks in part to, my days of being a cheerleader. There was one particular blue eyeshadow, that was a must have. Anytime that we performed, we had to wear that color. And so began a love affair for me. One that's lasted 15 years. :)

This is the Anniversary Palette. A little pricey at $55. But well worth it! It breaks down to under $4 an eyeshadow. It's a bit pricey, compared with UD's other Special Edition palettes. But like I said, it's well worth it. The shadows are amazing! They blend like butter. And I'm a big fan of the neutrals. But it's also nice to see a few fun colors. Honestly, there's something for everyone, in this palette.

If you're interested, I'd suggests searching locally. Everywhere online, that I've found, seems to sell out almost immediately. I'm telling you, this palette is well worth it! A little hard to find. A little pricey. But well worth it. Did you notice the packaging? Oh, it's a dream. With a nice big mirror. I'm not sure, what else you could ask for. It's pretty amazing!

Pirates of the Caribbean

I'm in heaven. Pure bliss! And it's not all about our vacation. Yes, our vacation is AMAZING! But these little babies, well they have rocked my world this week!

So I'm a HUGE fan of OPI nail polish. Yup! But there is something special about these colors. The Pirates of the Caribbean Collection. A little piece of heaven. Yes, they are! My favorite is the light pink color. Third from the left. It's called, Steady As She Rose. And it's the perfect shade of pink, with a slight grey tone. Yes, it's heaven!

The larger set is a little pricey. Around $45. But the Mini Set, is a lot more economical. Just under $15. I'd definitely recommend this collection to anyone. It's not too crazy. The colors are gorgeous for summer time. But can easily transition into any season. You just can't go wrong with this buy!

Neutrogena Wave Sonic

Earlier this month, I got to spend some serious time with my friends. My girl friends. And we talked about all sorts of beauty products. Lots of them are still curious about the Clarisonic. But it's tough to dish out a few hundred dollars, on just one product. No matter how amazing it is.

We got to talking. And they asked my honest opinion. Being that I've had one for a few years now. Honestly, it's a life changing product. But, there are now other products, on the market. Good products. And with the price difference, there are some that are really worth trying out. Like Neutrogena's Wave Sonic.

I've seen it at various stores, for under $15. And with some coupons that are floating around, you can get this little beauty, for about $5. I'm not lying! I picked up one for me, and one for a friend. And it works amazingly well! in my opinion, pretty comparable to the Clarisonic. And the refill pads are just under $5 for a package.

In many ways, the Wave Sonic, works just like the Clarisonic. You can use it in the shower. Or just to wash your face. Your skin looks, and feels, amazing after you use it. And after about 2 weeks, the results are amazing! Softer, cleaner, fresh feeling skin.

After trying both products, I'd recommend the Wave Sonic, for anyone whose been on the fence about the Clarisonic. It's worth all those pennies! Without breaking the bank, for the Clarisonic. In my opinion, everyone should have the opportunity to take care of themselves. Regardless of their budget. And the Wave Sonic, is definitely budget friendly!
